Yay! You did it. I’m not sure what it is, or why you did it, but be happy that it’s done and it’s in the win column. You’re a success. Even if it’s something small, finishing a book, writing that email you’ve been putting off, doing the dishes, rejoice in having done it and you’re brain will thank you. It’s all about Neuroplasticity, the ability for your brain to physically alter its structure in response to positive stimuli. That’s right, you may be able to grow back some of those brain cells you killed off watching re-runs. Unfortunately this door swings both ways and prolonged stress can negatively effect the brain too. But fear not, this article from big think has some great tips on how to manipulate your brain into growing new cells that will work for you in the real world and might actually help you achieve your goals, big or small.
