Free will, it’s the ability to choose what you do, or don’t do. The choice is yours. Well, sort of. Scientists using fMRI (functional magnetic resonance imaging) scans found that your subconscious is fully aware of decisions up to 7 seconds before your conscious mind. This means that you, your conscious self, might not be as in control of your actions as you thought. In a simple experiment scientists watching the scans were also able to accurately predict the decisions of participants in advance, effectively reading their minds.
